Itinerary:
Day 1: Welcome to Marrakech – Transfer to Your Hotel/Riad
Your 10-day private tour from Marrakech begins with a warm welcome as we transfer you to your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We start by exploring the main sights of Marrakech city, including Jemma el Fna square. The guided tour in Marrakech encompasses visits to the Koutoubia Mosque, souks, and palaces. We’ll also explore the new part of the city called Gueliz and possibly visit the Menara Gardens. The overnight stay in Marrakech includes accommodation in a hotel with dinner and breakfast.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
Continuing our 10-day Morocco tour, we drive through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains to reach the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, an UNESCO World Heritage site. We then proceed towards the Roses Valley, known for its annual “Festival of Roses.” Upon reaching Dades Gorges, we stay overnight in a local hotel.
Day 3: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara
Our journey continues as we drive towards Todra Gorges, where you can explore the narrow canyon, popular among hikers. We pass through the Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, renowned for its fossil products. A visit to a local fossil factory and shop offers a chance to purchase souvenirs. Continuing to Rissani, we explore the local souk. We then drive to Merzouga, where we embark on a camel ride into the desert dunes. Arriving at the Merzouga desert camp, we stay overnight in desert tents, enjoying dinner and Berber music around the campfire.
Day 4: Explore Merzouga Desert
This day is dedicated to exploring the wonders of Merzouga desert. You’ll have the opportunity to try sandboarding, ski in the dunes, and explore the area by 4×4. A visit to the music-rich Khamlia village is on the agenda, along with witnessing a perfect sunset over the dunes. Spend the night in Berber tents with local music and a delicious dinner.
Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt
After enjoying the sunrise in the desert, we ride camels back to the hotel. Following breakfast, we drive towards Rissani and Erfoud. Later, we continue to Midelt in the Atlas Mountains, where we stay overnight in a local hotel.
Day 6: Midelt – Azrou – Fes
Today, we explore Midelt and then drive to Azrou and Ifrane, a famous ski resort. Continuing to Fes, we stay overnight in a local hotel.
Day 7: Fes Guided Tour
A guided tour of Fes includes visits to the Fontaine Ennajarine, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the Karawiyin Mosque, the tannery, and the ceramics cooperative to observe traditional Moroccan crafts. Spend the afternoon exploring the fascinating medina before having dinner at a local restaurant. Another night is spent in Fes in a local riad/hotel.
Day 8: Fes – Chefchaouen
We drive from Fes to Chefchaouen in the Rif mountains. Exploring the medina in Chefchaouen, we stay overnight in a local hotel with dinner.
Day 9: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca
Later, we drive to Rabat, the capital, to explore its main sights. Continuing to the largest Moroccan city, Casablanca, we stay overnight.
Day 10: Casablanca – Marrakech
Today, we visit the main attractions in Casablanca, including the Hassan II Mosque. We then drive back to Marrakech, concluding our 10-day adventure.
