Itinerary:

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Fes

Embark on a captivating 4-day desert trip from Casablanca to Merzouga. Begin with a sightseeing tour of Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. Explore the exterior of the magnificent Hassan II Great Mosque, a monumental Islamic structure. Enjoy a short walk along the corniche, and visit other attractions depending on the available time. Depart for Rabat, the administrative capital, where you’ll visit the splendid Mohammed V Mausoleum and the historic Hassan Tower. In the late afternoon, journey to Fes, passing by Meknes, possibly stopping to admire Bab Mansour, founded by Moulay Ismail in the 17th century and often referred to as “the Moroccan Versailles.” Arrive in Fes and check into your hotel.

Day 2: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga (Camel Trek & Night in Desert Camp)

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Ifrane, a Moroccan-Swiss-style town, and then continue to Azrou, where a stop at the cedar forest in the Middle Atlas Mountains allows you to observe the Barbary monkeys. Enjoy lunch in Midelt before heading towards Merzouga, with a panoramic view stop at Ziz Valley. Arrive in Merzouga late afternoon and start a camel trek to explore the captivating Erg Chebbi dunes. Spend the night in a fully-equipped desert camp, indulging in delicious food, Berber music, and the enchanting atmosphere of the Sahara.

Day 3: Merzouga Sahara Desert – Ziz Valley – Todra Gorges and Dades Gorges

Rise early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara, followed by breakfast and a refreshing shower at the camp. Drive to Tinerhir and explore the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch, continue the journey to Dades Valley, passing through Dades Gorge with its majestic castles and extraordinary rock formations. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Tizi N’Tichka Pass – Marrakech
